I read a lot of blogs, I should be more productive but I can’t help it. I see all these lovely pretty blogs like Alicia who blogs Posie Gets Cozy or Sally who blogs Shim + sons. I love their style, I secretly or not so secretly wish I lived in a little cottage or had such a clean style with everything in it’s place. Of course I’ll never be like either of them, I’m me… I’m crazy silly punk girl who sports a pink mohawk and makes cupcakes in the flavors of cough syrup for bands lucky enough to be my friends
I don’t really try to fit in with all the crafty bloggers but I also really censor myself here because honestly this is where I promote the things I make and sell. I don’t want to step on toes or make people feel icky about it. At the same time it’s hard to avoid who I am.
Here is to me trying to let everyone in more and stop worrying so much that people will be offended.

You should read My Paper Crane (if you don’t already). She has such a nice balance of cozy cottage mixed with crazy kitch items & seems much more your style. I don’t think anyone is scared off when she shows off pink hair or a new tattoo she got from her husband, that is just part of her personality.
I’m not much for the flowerly country cottage look myself, but I’m not sure what my ideal place would look like either. Somewhere between the modern style with minimal decorations (lots of patterns & textures) and crazy-artsy, with sculptures of robots & moster paintings & random things stuck around the house. Perhaps one day, when I live somewhere I’m actually allowed to paint (& can afford furniture), we will see!
