I know I haven’t updated here in just about forever. It makes me sad to think that not only have I not been updating here that I also haven’t been creating anything worth while. I’m in a funk of being tired all the time from my day job and just not feeling inspired anymore. It leaves me thinking that I need to do something about this, but what can I do?

I remember back when I started the 30 crafts in 30 days and I didn’t make it past day 15, how embarrassing. I’m going to start a lighter creative endeavor.  I’m going to do a photo a day. It can be with my digital camera, Polaroid or toy camera but not my cell phone. I’m going to make a gallery on Flickr and link back with I hope will be at least weekly updates.

Here’s hoping I can stick to this, I really need to do something or I just might go into a creative coma.

I’m adjusting to a whole new schedule and work. I have plans though and soon there will be something to report on.

This is how I spent my weekend. It’s really hard to type with fresh wrist tattoos… but I LOVE THEM!

Do you remember that time when I said I would never ever own a cell phone ever again? You remember that right? Yeah, I do too. I remember all the vile things I would say about them and how people using them would drive me over the edge. I feel so dirty, so evil and wrong. I now own not one, but TWO cell phones. AGGGGH Someone stop me, stop me before I do something worse.

I love it so much though, the conflicting feelings it’s causing me is making me ill. How could I? How could I be seduced by this evil technology which makes me fume in post offices and irate at grocery stores. I apologized for 10 full minutes to a clerk at the gas station because I got a text message while paying for my waters. I felt so awful.

It’s so pretty though, it’s the Samsung Instinct. Oh how I love it with it’s GPS and camera. I find myself thinking about it, hoping there is a new email or text. OH DEAR BOB WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?????

All cellphones aside, there has been a lot of really great stuff happening in the old homestead. I will have far less time than I did before but it’s ok, other awesome stuff will be happening. I have a new boss who I adore and other coworkers who make me happy to be spending 9 hours a day away from my sewing machine. It’s a great fit and I feel really happy. I hope to post some photos involving work once I get the OK…

Now I’m going to go look at my cell phone and let the pains of guilt wash over me and try and make sure I never use it when I shouldn’t.

Oh evil cell.

I’m getting used to a whole new schedule. I have a day job now, something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. Screen printing! I’m gone all day and I’ve been taking the weekends to gets things organized at the house.

I have so much other stuff I want to do I’m considering a clone.

For now enjoy a new pic of the hawk… it’s been repinked and looking fab!

It’s almost the end of July, can you believe how quickly the summer is going? I found a mess of old photos on our external hard drive and thought I would put one up.

I remember this day well, we were in Florida on vacation and I was running around in a swim suit my Mom got on clearance which was at least two sizes too big.

I don’t know what I was doing to my little brother but it doesn’t seem like he was phased by it.

I can’t believe how long my hair was.

I have a HUGE project coming up, it’s more on Josh’s shoulders than mine but it involved baking and the baking community. I can’t talk about it much because there is ALOT to do before I can let the cat out of the bag but I’m starting to put a list together of people I want to make aware of the project before it’s launched. I’m looking for bakers, ones who own their own shops, ones who blog about it online.

Trust me, you WANT to be part of this project.

I can’t believe I didn’t update here when I put up the new robot wallets. I guess I was so excited about being on Etsy’s front page not once but TWICE I got a little distracted. So here they are in all their sparkly glory.

I’m excited like a little kid, I came home to see my wallet on etsy’s front page. In my complete geek out I ran around the house screaming and jumping. Yes I was excited… I didn’t get a good screen grab. Thankfully people have my back and dictioncanary on flickr grabbed this great one for me. Thank you so much!

Now I’m off to bask in my new heartings and my home made pizza.
